Deception Pass State Park is a 4,134-acre marine and camping park with saltwater shoreline 3 freshwater lakes, breathtaking views of the turbulent waters of Deception Pass with old-growth forests, and abundant wildlife.
Park amenities include 1.2 miles of ADA trails, 38 miles of hiking trails, 6 miles of horse trails, fresh and saltwater boat ramps and docks, freshwater swimming beaches, kayaking, diving, sailboarding, a museum, and environmental learning center.

The city’s premier 28-acre waterfront park is located off State Route 20 (SR-20) directly adjacent to the downtown district on the west side of the harbor. The multi-use park provides a variety of activities including waterfront trails through wetlands (Freund Marsh), a campground (Staysail RV Park), saltwater lagoon (Spinnaker Lagoon), picnic area (Celebration Garden), playgrounds (Scuttlebutt and Knockabout Parks), and tennis and basketball courts.
The park provides wading pools in the playground and a supervised sandy beach on the saltwater lagoon during summer seasons with picnic tables and grills, restrooms, and a bathhouse with hot shower facilities.
